Interpretation and analysis of geospatial imageries involve extracting meaningful information from satellite or aerial images to understand patterns, processes, and changes on the Earth’s surface. This process begins with visual or digital examination of imagery, where features such as land cover, vegetation, water bodies, and urban structures are identified. Advanced techniques like image classification, spectral analysis, and change detection are then applied to quantify and categorize these features. Analysts use geographic information systems (GIS) to integrate imagery with spatial data, enabling precise mapping and monitoring. In environmental contexts, this helps track deforestation, soil erosion, or climate impacts, while in urban settings it supports infrastructure planning, population studies, and disaster management. Ultimately, geospatial imagery interpretation transforms raw visual data into actionable insights, making it a cornerstone of modern environmental science, urban development, and resource management.
