The integration of remote sensing with GIS in research combines the strengths of satellite and aerial data collection with spatial analysis tools to provide a comprehensive understanding of environmental and urban systems. Remote sensing supplies continuous, multi-scale observations through techniques like multispectral imaging and LiDAR, while GIS organizes, overlays, and analyzes these datasets alongside other spatial information. This synergy enables researchers to perform spatial modeling, change detection, and predictive analysis, supporting applications such as environmental monitoring, urban planning, and resource management. By integrating these technologies, researchers gain powerful tools to visualize complex spatial phenomena, identify trends, and make informed decisions for sustainable development and policy-making.
