1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Account: First name, last name, email address, and study level
(e.g. University, WAEC). Phone number is optional and not required.
Study activity: Course progress, quiz scores, time spent
on subjects, and learning patterns.
Payment (Premium only): Subscription billing managed
securely via our payment provider. We never store full card numbers.
1.2 Collected Automatically
Device type, browser, IP address (city/state level only), navigation
behaviour within the platform, and feature usage frequency.
1.3 Google Sign-In
When you use "Sign in with Google" we receive only your
name and email address.
We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 All Users
- Provide access to free video lessons, lecture notes and practice Q&A
- Track learning progress and personalise study recommendations
- Send important service emails (e.g. OTP verification, policy changes)
- Prevent fraud, spam, and unauthorised access
2.2 Free Users — Data Monetisation
To keep La-Net Hub 100% free, we use anonymized, aggregated
data (never your name or email) to:
- Share course popularity trends with Nigerian universities and polytechnics
- Provide subject preference reports to educational publishers
- Display relevant educational advertisements (university admissions, scholarships)
Important: Partners only receive statistical summaries —
never your personal identity, email, or individual records.
Participation in marketing communications is voluntary and you may
opt out at any time.
2.3 Premium Users — Zero Monetisation
Our promise: We do not share, sell, or monetise
your personal data in any way. No targeted advertising.
No data partnerships. Complete privacy.
3. Information Sharing
3.1 What We Share (Free Users Only)
Anonymized, aggregated statistics with Nigerian universities, polytechnics,
educational publishers, JAMB coaching centres, and scholarship organisations.
3.2 What We NEVER Share
- Your name, email address, or phone number with any third party
- Private messages between students
- Payment or financial data
- Device passwords or biometric data
- Individual study records or quiz results
3.3 Required Legal Disclosures
We may disclose information when legally required by: Nigerian law enforcement
(valid court orders only), JAMB or WAEC for examination integrity, NUC regulatory
compliance, or tax authorities.
4. Your Privacy Controls
- Opt out of marketing: Unsubscribe at any time via email footer or by contacting us.
- Access your data: Request a copy at any time. A reasonable fee may apply where permitted by law.
- Delete your account: Complete deletion within 30 days of request.
- Upgrade to Premium: Immediately stops all data monetisation.
- Correct your data: Update your profile information at any time.

5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Where Your Data Lives
- Primary: Nigerian data centres (Lagos and Abuja) — NDPR compliant
- Backups: Encrypted AWS facilities (Ireland, Singapore) — disaster recovery only

- 256-bit SSL encryption for all data transmission
- Multi-factor authentication for account access
- Regular security audits and penetration testing
- Employee access limited strictly to job requirements
- Partner access: aggregated statistics only — never individual data
5.3 Data Retention
- Active accounts: data retained while the account is active
- Deleted accounts: personal data purged within 30 days
- Anonymised trend data may remain in historical aggregate reports

7. Children's Privacy
La-Net Hub is designed for students aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly
collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13

and we will delete the account within 48 hours.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will notify all registered users by email of material changes at least
30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes
acceptance of the updated policy.
