The course Synthetic Utility and Transition Element Organometallics focuses on the chemistry, properties, and applications of organometallic compounds containing transition metals. It explores the preparation, structure, bonding, and reactivity of these compounds, as well as their important roles in catalysis, industrial synthesis, and organic transformations. Students will also study how transition metal organometallics are applied in modern chemical processes such as hydrogenation, polymerization, carbon–carbon bond formation, and pharmaceutical synthesis
This lecture is part of CHM 423 Organometallic chemistry in the Chemistry department. The course has 22 recorded lectures across 11 series, all free to watch.
