The course Classification of Organometallic Compounds and Ligands introduces students to the study of compounds containing metal–carbon bonds and the different types of ligands that coordinate with metal atoms. It covers the classification, structure, bonding, nomenclature, and properties of organometallic compounds, as well as the roles of ligands in determining the stability and reactivity of metal complexes. The course also explores applications of organometallic chemistry in catalysis, industrial processes, and modern chemical research.
This lecture is part of CHM 423 Organometallic chemistry in the Chemistry department. The course has 22 recorded lectures across 11 series, all free to watch.
