Fundamentals of circuit diagrams and laws involve understanding how electrical components are represented and interconnected, and how electrical quantities behave within a circuit. Circuit diagrams use standardized symbols to depict elements such as resistors, capacitors, power sources, and switches, allowing engineers and students to visualize and analyze electrical systems clearly. Core electrical laws—including Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law (KVL), and Kirchhoff’s Current Law (KCL)—provide the principles needed to calculate voltage, current, and resistance in different parts of a circuit. These fundamentals are essential for designing, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical and electronic systems, forming the foundation for more advanced studies in electronics and electrical engineering.
