Global Fish Species of Commercial Importance and Their Biological Attributes refers to the study of fish species that are widely harvested or cultured for food, trade, and economic value around the world, along with the biological characteristics that influence their production and management. Important commercial species include Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), common carp (Cyprinus carpio), tuna (Thunnus spp.), cod (Gadus morhua), and catfish (Clarias spp.). Their biological attributes, such as growth rate, reproductive capacity, feeding habits, habitat preference, disease resistance, and environmental tolerance, determine their suitability for fisheries and aquaculture operations. Understanding these characteristics is essential for effective resource management, sustainable harvesting, aquaculture development, biodiversity conservation, and meeting the growing global demand for fish as a source of nutrition and income
