Challenges, Benefits, and Reform Roles of IT in Governance examines the impact of information technology on the modernization and improvement of government operations and public service delivery. The benefits of IT in governance include increased efficiency, improved access to information, enhanced transparency, better communication, and more effective citizen engagement. However, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, cybersecurity threats, digital inequality, limited funding, resistance to change, and insufficient technical skills can hinder successful implementation. Despite these obstacles, IT plays a crucial role in governance reform by streamlining administrative processes, supporting evidence-based decision-making, promoting accountability, and enabling the development of innovative, citizen-centered services that strengthen public trust and institutional performance.
