The origin of industrial production can be traced back to the Industrial Revolution of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, when societies shifted from agrarian, handcraft-based economies to machine-driven manufacturing systems. This transformation began in Britain, fueled by innovations such as the steam engine, mechanized textile machinery, and improved iron production techniques. These advancements enabled goods to be produced faster, cheaper, and in larger quantities, leading to the rise of factories and urbanization. Industrial production fundamentally changed economic structures, labor systems, and social organization, laying the foundation for modern industrial economies around the world.
