The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models are structured frameworks used to guide the planning, creation, testing, and deployment of information systems, ensuring that software is developed efficiently and meets user requirements. These models define a series of phases—typically including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance—organized in different ways depending on the chosen model, such as Waterfall, Agile, Spiral, or V-Model. Each SDLC model offers a unique approach to managing risk, handling changes, and ensuring quality, allowing organizations to select the most suitable methodology based on project complexity, size, and flexibility needs, ultimately improving productivity, communication, and the likelihood of successful system delivery.
