Requirements analysis and feasibility studies are crucial early phases in the system or project development lifecycle, aimed at ensuring that a proposed project is both clearly defined and practically achievable. Requirements analysis involves identifying, gathering, and documenting the needs and expectations of stakeholders, translating them into detailed functional and non-functional requirements that guide system design and development. Feasibility studies, on the other hand, evaluate whether the project is viable in terms of technical capability, economic cost-benefit, legal compliance, operational practicality, and scheduling constraints. Together, these processes help minimize risks, avoid costly mistakes, and ensure that resources are effectively allocated, ultimately increasing the likelihood of project success.
