This introductory series explores how citizens' attitudes are formed, measured, and communicated — and how public opinion ultimately shapes democratic governance. Students will examine the processes through which individuals develop political opinions, the role of media, propaganda, and political messaging in shaping public discourse, and how governments and political actors respond to and influence public sentiment. It provides a critical understanding of the dynamic relationship between public opinion, political communication, and the functioning of democratic systems.
