Speech Production and Perception Mechanism refers to the processes through which human beings produce, transmit, receive, and interpret speech sounds for communication. Speech production begins in the brain, where messages are formulated and sent to the speech organs, including the lungs, vocal cords, tongue, lips, and palate, which work together to generate specific sounds. These sounds travel through the air as sound waves and are received by the listener's auditory system. Speech perception occurs when the ears detect these sound waves and transmit signals to the brain, where they are analyzed and understood as meaningful language. The study of speech production and perception helps explain how humans communicate effectively, acquire languages, recognize speech, and overcome communication barriers in different linguistic and social contexts.
