Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion are statistical tools used to summarize and describe the main characteristics of a dataset. Measures of central tendency, including the mean, median, and mode, indicate the typical or central value around which data are distributed, providing a concise representation of the dataset. Measures of dispersion, such as the range, variance, standard deviation, and interquartile range, assess the degree of spread or variability within the data. Together, these measures help researchers and analysts understand both the average behavior of data and the extent to which individual values differ from one another, thereby supporting accurate data interpretation and informed decision-making.
