This series explores the role of language in promoting peace, managing conflict, enhancing security, and fostering national integration in multicultural and multilingual societies. It examines how language can serve as both a source of misunderstanding and division, as well as a powerful tool for dialogue, reconciliation, and social cohesion. Students will study the influence of language in ethnic relations, political communication, conflict resolution, peacebuilding, national identity formation, and public security initiatives. The course also considers the impact of language policies, media discourse, and intercultural communication on unity and nation-building. Through theoretical and practical perspectives, learners will develop an understanding of how effective language use contributes to social stability, mutual understanding, and sustainable national development.
