Global politics is the study of how states, international organizations, and non-state actors interact across borders to influence global issues such as security, development, and cooperation. Its key concepts include power (the ability to influence outcomes), sovereignty (a state’s control over its territory), legitimacy, and interdependence, which together help explain relationships and decision-making in the international system. The principles of global politics focus on understanding how these actors operate in a system without a single global authority, where cooperation and conflict both shape world affairs. The course objective is to develop students’ understanding of political processes at local, national, and global levels, enhance critical thinking about contemporary issues, and enable them to analyze different perspectives while becoming informed and active global citizens
