Preventive and Corrective Maintenance are two key approaches to ensuring the reliability and longevity of computer systems and other technical equipment. Preventive maintenance focuses on proactive measures such as regular cleaning, system updates, hardware inspections, and component replacements before failures occur, aiming to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of devices. In contrast, corrective maintenance deals with fixing problems after they arise, including diagnosing faults, repairing or replacing damaged parts, and restoring systems to full functionality. Together, these practices balance foresight and problem-solving, ensuring that computers remain efficient, secure, and dependable in both personal and professional environments.
