Simulation techniques and methods are systematic approaches used to model and analyze the behavior of real-world systems or processes in a controlled, virtual environment, allowing decision-makers to study performance, test scenarios, and predict outcomes without affecting the actual system. These methods include discrete-event simulation, which models systems as a sequence of events over time; continuous simulation, which represents systems with continuously changing variables; Monte Carlo simulation, which uses random sampling to estimate probabilistic outcomes; and agent-based simulation, which focuses on interactions among individual entities. By applying these techniques, organizations can improve planning, optimize operations, reduce risks, and evaluate complex systems across fields such as engineering, healthcare, business, and education.
