Programming paradigms are fundamental approaches or styles of programming that define how developers structure and organize code to solve problems. They provide distinct ways of thinking about computation, influencing how programs are written, how data is managed, and how control flows within a system. Common paradigms include procedural programming, which focuses on step-by-step instructions; object-oriented programming, which organizes code around objects and their interactions; functional programming, which emphasizes the use of pure functions and immutability; and logical programming, which is based on formal logic and rules. Each paradigm offers unique advantages and is suited to different types of problems, and modern programming languages often support multiple paradigms, allowing developers to choose the most effective style for a given task.
