KWASU Sets 160 as Cut-Off Mark for 2026/2027 Admissions

Kwara State University (KWASU) has announced a general cut-off mark of 160 for all courses ahead of the 2026/2027 admission cycle, applicable to every candidate seeking admission through the Post-UTME screening process. Under the new benchmark, any candidate who scored 160 or above in the 2026 JAMB UTME is eligible to apply to KWASU and proceed to the screening stage, regardless of the course or faculty involved. This marks a departure from the pattern seen at some other universities, where a lower general cut-off, often 150, applies broadly, but individual departments raise their own thresholds for more competitive courses. KWASU has instead opted for a single, uniform cut-off of 160 across all its programmes for this year's admission cycle, meaning candidates who clear that mark qualify to apply for any course of their choice, provided they also meet the specific O'level requirements attached to that course. KWASU is a public state-owned university located in Malete, Kwara State.
