Chrisland Schools Graduates 327, Celebrates 16 High-Flying UTME Scorers Chrisland Schools has graduated 327 students across its five secondary school campuses in Lagos, and 16 members of the Class of 2026 achieved standout scores of 321 to 362 on the 2026 UTME. The milestone was announced by the school's Managing Director, Mrs Ibironke Adeyemi, at Chrisland's 2026 Joint Valedictory Service and Prize-Giving Ceremony, which drew education stakeholders, government officials, parents and alumni. Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, attended as Special Guest of Honour. Adeyemi commended the graduating class for excelling across academics, leadership, sports and other extracurricular areas. She singled out student Eze Somtobena, who recorded an aggregate UTME score of 362, while 15 other students from the same set scored between 321 and 353. "These remarkable achievements are not just numbers; they are proof that at Chrisland Schools, students are empowered to excel, compete nationally and shine globally," she said, crediting the results to sustained investment in quality teaching, modern facilities and a learner-centred approach. Addressing the graduates directly, Adeyemi urged them to hold on to the values instilled in them — discipline, integrity, professionalism and excellence — as they move into higher education, encouraging them to think big, embrace challenges and resist negative peer pressure. Speaking on behalf of Mrs Sanwo-Olu, Mrs Mojisola Agbaje told graduates that character remains essential even as technology and artificial intelligence reshape the world. She said skills may open doors, but integrity is what keeps them open, and cautioned students never to let ambition compromise their values. Chairman of the occasion and former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Adeleke Mamora, encouraged the graduates to see their certificates as a starting point rather than an endpoint, urging them to keep learning, stay resilient through setbacks, and build lives centred on character and service to others. Delivering the guest lecture, Dr Glory Enyinnaya, Academic Director of the Institutional Growth Initiative at Pan-Atlantic University and a Chrisland alumna, challenged the students to identify their unique talents and use them for the benefit of others, framing true success as measured by positive impact rather than personal achievement alone. She also urged them to appreciate the sacrifices made by parents, guardians and teachers throughout their education. The ceremony also featured the Managing Director's Honour Awards, recognising outstanding students across categories. Darren Ohiomoba of Chrisland High School Lekki received the award for academic excellence, Doreen Chinasa of Chrisland High School VGC for sports and physical excellence, and Akinlabi Esther, also of VGC, for creative and performing arts.
