16-Year-Old Osasere Okundaye Becomes Nigeria’s Youngest Chartered Accountant

Osasere Okundaye has made history by becoming the youngest person in Nigeria to qualify as a chartered accountant through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), achieving the milestone at just 16 years old. Her accomplishment was celebrated by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, who described her as an inspiration to young Nigerians. In a statement released on Monday, the minister said Okundaye's success demonstrates the impact of dedication, discipline, and resilience, encouraging other youths to pursue their ambitions with confidence. Okundaye's feat surpasses the previous national record set in 2022 by Jonathan Adewale, who became Nigeria's youngest chartered accountant at the age of 17.
