Challenges and Contribution to Grassroots Development and Governance explores the role of local governance structures in promoting community development while addressing the difficulties that affect their effectiveness. Grassroots development focuses on empowering local communities through active participation in decision-making, resource management, and the implementation of development projects that address their specific needs. However, challenges such as inadequate funding, weak institutional capacity, corruption, limited public participation, and poor infrastructure can hinder progress at the local level. Despite these obstacles, effective grassroots governance contributes significantly to sustainable development by enhancing service delivery, promoting democratic participation, improving accountability, and ensuring that government policies and programs respond to the needs and aspirations of local populations.
