Anatomy of Flowering Plants explores the internal structure and organization of flowering plants (angiosperms), focusing on the tissues and organs that perform essential functions for growth, support, transport, reproduction, and survival. It examines the anatomical features of roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds, as well as specialized tissues such as epidermal, ground, and vascular tissues (xylem and phloem) that facilitate water, nutrient, and food transport throughout the plant. The topic also highlights the relationship between plant structure and function, demonstrating how anatomical adaptations enable plants to thrive in different environments. Course objectives include enabling learners to understand the internal organization of flowering plants, identify and describe major plant tissues and organs, analyze the functions of different anatomical structures, and develop the ability to relate plant anatomy to growth, development, and environmental adaptation.
