PERFORMANCE AND SECURITY IN NET CENTRIC SYSTEMS 3

Performance and Security in Net-Centric Systems are critical aspects that determine the reliability, efficiency, and trustworthiness of network-based applications and services. Performance focuses on how well a system utilizes resources to deliver fast response times, high throughput, and scalability, ensuring that users can access services seamlessly even under heavy loads. Techniques such as load balancing, caching, and optimized communication protocols are often employed to enhance performance. Security, on the other hand, addresses the protection of data and resources from unauthorized access, cyberattacks, and vulnerabilities. This involves implementing measures like encryption, authentication, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure communication protocols to safeguard information integrity and confidentiality. Together, performance and security form the foundation of robust net-centric systems, enabling organizations to provide dependable services while maintaining user trust in an increasingly interconnected digital environment.
