Magnetism is a fundamental force of nature arising from the motion of electric charges, closely tied to the concept of the magnetic field, which describes the region around a magnet where magnetic forces can be felt. Materials that exhibit strong magnetic behavior, such as iron, cobalt, and nickel, are known as ferromagnetic materials, and their properties depend on the alignment of tiny magnetic domains within them. The strength and direction of a magnetic field can be visualized using magnetic field lines, which always form closed loops from the north pole to the south pole of a magnet. Magnetism plays a crucial role in everyday technologies, from electric motors and transformers to data storage and medical imaging, making it essential for both scientific understanding and practical applications.
