Environmental Resources and Human Activities (Series 4) focuses on the relationship between nature’s wealth and the ways humans utilize it to sustain life and development. Environmental resources include water, soil, forests, minerals, energy sources, and biodiversity, all of which form the foundation of human survival and economic progress. Human activities—such as agriculture, industry, mining, transportation, and urbanization—depend heavily on these resources, but they also exert pressure on the environment through exploitation, pollution, and habitat alteration. This study highlights both the benefits of resource use and the challenges of overuse, scarcity, and environmental degradation. By examining this interaction, the series emphasizes the need for sustainable practices that balance human needs with ecological preservation, ensuring that resources remain available for future generations while supporting present-day development.
