Commercial Law is the branch of law that regulates business activities, trade, and commercial transactions between individuals, companies, and other organizations. It covers a wide range of legal principles governing contracts, sales of goods, agency, partnership, negotiable instruments, insurance, banking, company operations, and consumer protection. The course examines the rights, duties, and liabilities of parties engaged in commercial dealings, as well as the legal frameworks that promote fair business practices and resolve commercial disputes. By studying commercial law, students gain an understanding of the legal environment in which businesses operate and the rules that facilitate trade, economic growth, and commercial relationships in both national and international contexts.
