Law of Contract I is an introductory course that examines the fundamental principles governing legally enforceable agreements between individuals, businesses, and organizations. It explores the essential elements of a valid contract, including offer, acceptance, consideration, intention to create legal relations, and capacity to contract. The course also discusses the rules relating to the formation of contracts, terms of agreements, vitiating factors such as misrepresentation, mistake, duress, and undue influence, as well as the rights and obligations of contracting parties. By providing a foundation in contract law, the course equips students with an understanding of how contracts operate in commercial and everyday transactions and how legal disputes arising from contractual relationships are resolved.
This lecture is part of CIL-201 LAW OF CONTRACT I in the Law department. The course has 15 recorded lectures across 1 series, all free to watch.
