Curriculum development is the systematic process of planning, designing, implementing, evaluating, and improving the educational experiences provided to learners. It determines what students should learn, why they should learn it, how it should be taught, and how learning should be assessed. In Nigeria, curriculum development is guided by national educational goals and is coordinated mainly by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC).
