Geophysical Modelling, Imaging, and Resolution Assessment refers to the application of computational techniques to represent, visualize, and evaluate subsurface geological structures using geophysical data. Geophysical modelling involves creating mathematical or physical representations of the Earth's subsurface to simulate geophysical responses, while imaging techniques convert processed data into visual models that reveal underground features such as faults, rock layers, and mineral deposits. Resolution assessment is the process of determining the accuracy, clarity, and reliability of the generated models and images, ensuring that interpreted features accurately reflect subsurface conditions. Together, these processes enhance the understanding of geological environments and support informed decision-making in exploration, engineering, and environmental studies.
