This course examines the principles and techniques of planning neighbourhoods in both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) contexts. It covers land-use arrangement, street networks, plot layouts, open spaces, and community facilities in 2D planning, while also addressing building heights, density, vertical development, skyline design, and spatial relationships in 3D planning. The course aims to equip students with the skills to create functional, sustainable, and visually appealing neighbourhood environments that efficiently utilize both horizontal and vertical space.
