This series examines how economic resources, social structures, and institutional arrangements underpin political behaviour and shape the distribution of power within societies. Students will explore the material conditions that drive political action including ownership of resources, control of institutions, and class interests — and analyze how these factors influence policy-making, political mobilization, and power dynamics at both national and international levels. It offers a critical lens for understanding why political outcomes often reflect underlying economic realities.
